I started dabbling with photography back in middle school. Circa 2007. My dad would let me borrow his camera when I found myself bored. I’d take pictures of my dogs and nature, and had mini photo shoots with my friends (who didn't, lol). When I got to high school, I took some photography classes and started taking it more seriously. Once I became an adult, all I wanted to do was travel. Get the hell outta dodge. Years of learning how cameras, lighting, and people work all over the world, I started my biz, Taylor Photo Co.
I’ve been filming weddings since 2015 and photographing weddings since 2019. I love connecting with my couples/clients and bonding over things like Downton Abbey and sushi.

Fun fact: Anne Boleyn was beheaded on my birthday

Maybe you're a musician, a mom,  an adventurer, head over heels for someone.  Maybe you're obsessed with vintage cars, or superheroes, or Johnny Cash.  Whatever it is that is unique about you and your life is extraordinary, and it's ABSOLUTELY worth celebrating.

my goal is to show people their life is

damn special

What do you feel when you see these photos of me as a youngin'? Am I posed perfectly? Or am I in the moment having just being me?
I believe the best photos are the ones where you're simply living. Those are the photos you can FEEL; almost as if you're there feeling it all too.  The fun, the chaotic, the nostalgic (grainy photos do that to ya).

I, of course, still shoot the posed, creative stuff but this is the why behind it all. Imagine your grandkids looking at photos of you living and being YOU. That's where the magic lies.

my
belief
and
approach

Well, let's start with my pops. I grew up watching him have a camera in hand at all times. He was always documenting and capturing moments for our family. I loved that. At the age of 14 I started taking on the "memory keeper" role in the family. On my 18th birthday, my parents bought me my first "real" camera and the rest is history.

I have a cinematic mindset that I bring to my photography. "Motion is my motto" is a common phrase I use and I love capturing the crazy, fast and slow moments that we experience in life.

As far as film/video goes, I was first introduced to that when I was teaching english abroad in Ukraine. Odd, I know. Another Americian teacher and I went out to the Ukrainian forest to do a fun little music video (where we lip sync to a song and it's incredibly cringe) BUT! It started my passion and love for video. Don't ask to see it. I promise I don't have it. ;)

“I’ve had the pleasure of working with Taylor as my photographer multiple times over the years, and each session was an absolute pleasure. Her ability to capture intimate and candid moments is simply magical. From couples’ photos to boudoir sessions, she creates a warm and inviting atmosphere that immediately puts you at ease.

Her talent for capturing the true essence of a moment is truly beautiful. The way she handles light and composition adds a touch of magic to every photograph. Each image she captures tells a unique story, filled with emotions and authenticity.

I was particularly impressed by how comfortable she made me feel during my boudoir session. It can be a vulnerable experience, but her professionalism and friendly demeanor made the entire process enjoyable and empowering. The end result was a collection of stunning images that I will treasure for a lifetime.

Not only is Taylor incredibly talented, but she is also a blast to work with! Her friendly and approachable nature instantly makes you feel like you’re working with a trusted friend. She listens attentively to your ideas and vision, ensuring that every photo reflects your personality and style.
I wholeheartedly recommend Taylor as a photographer. Her warm and intimate style, coupled with her genuine passion for her craft, sets her apart. If you’re looking to capture precious moments and create lasting memories, she is the one to trust.”

“Taylor was absolutely amazing, She went above and beyond for our little elopement. We felt so lucky we were able to book with her and can't wait to do so again in the future!

It's taken forever to find the words for this review because Taylor truly was such an important part of our day and I'll be grateful we got to work with her forever.”

- CHANTELLE + JUSTIN

“I cannot say enough good things about Taylor, both personally and professionally. She is so kind, warm and personable. We hired her to do our Engagement photos and our Wedding day. The booking process was easy.. she had reasonable pricing and great communication. When it came to the day of, which was hectic and chaotic, she wrangled the bridal party so well. Took posed and candid photos and really captured the day exactly how we envisioned it to be, full of warmth and love.”
